Lag and Wood Screws

Lag Screws, sometimes called out as Lag Bolts, are heavy duty screws usually used to fasten lumber. Commonly used in deck and dock building. They are generally much larger in diameter and often longer than standard wood screws.

Wood Screws are used primarily to attach wood to wood. They have an aggressive thread profile designed to maximize the clamping force necessary to form strong joints. They have sharp, coarse and widely spaced threads and a gimlet point, features that are ideally suited for ease of penetration.
